JP Dyal is not your typical horseman. He grew up in the Florida Keys and worked as a corporate executive until he lost everything. It was then, in one of his darkest moments, his life was saved by a horse. While JP has competed in many different disciplines, his true gift and passion is transforming the lives of horses and their people by combining his leadership development experience along with his soft and light style of horsemanship.
Lisa Calder is the creator of Mindful Horsemanship. Her one of a kind approach to horsemanship combines personal development and a unique way of using the breath while working with the horse, creating an unbreakable bond of true connection. Lisa believes if we are only working on our horse, we are missing the art of horsemanship. One must change their unconscious behaviors from within, in order to create lasting change in their relationships.
“JP is just not your average horse trainer, he's a horseman. He has some crazy horse whisperer ability that helps him get through to even the toughest case. Let me assure you, I am 99.9% sure I presented him with that "worst case scenario" last year and he did not give up. Today, we have the quietest 2 year old that we have EVER had and she's got all the tools in her (and our) toolbox that we need to carry on. This is a complete 180 from the reactive filly we left behind and if I didn't know for a fact it's our horse, I would have thought she was swapped out for a completely different animal! I cannot tell you that at the end of the day, do not ever be afraid to ask for help and when I was referred to JP, it turned out to be the absolute best decision we ever made. You will not be disappointed!”
